Assumed Asexuality: Disability in the LGBTQ+ Community

Assumed Asexuality: Disability in the LGBTQ+ Community
Date and time
3:00 PM - 4:00 PM, October 23, 2017
Description

Some queer people have disabilities. Yet, we never actually talk about them when discussing intimacy among LGBTQ+ people. Often, we assumed disabled people, both LGB TQ+ and not, are asexual. This discussion will look at assumptions of intimacy, disability, and queer identity to help challenge us around ableism in the LGBTQ+ community. Co-sponsored by the Disability Resource Center.
