Description

The Office of Citizenship and Service-Learning (CASL) at Missouri State University and the MSU Vision Screening Program invite you to join us for a 10,000 Screenings Celebration.

This event celebrates our service-learning students who provided more than 10,000 free vision screenings throughout southwest Missouri to children, youth, adults and seniors during the fall 2017 semester, our MSU administration who champions our Vision Screening Program, our college deans and department heads who support academic service-learning, our professors who provide students with the opportunity to engage in service-learning, our community partners who invite us to provide free vision screenings in our communities, and our valued partners who serve as referral partners and provide financial resources so vision deficiencies can be corrected in children and adults both locally and globally.

Hear from MSU President Clif Smart, MSU Provost Frank Einhellig, MSU Deputy Provost Chris Craig, a representative from MSU Care Clinic, Clista Nunez (Miller Elementary School) Wendy Jackson (Vision Rehabilitation Center of the Ozarks), Dr. Jon Treadway (Jordan Valley Clinic), Dr. Tricia Derges (Lift Up Springfield/Ozark Valley Medical), Emily Yeap (MSU University Communications), Lily Young-Mills (MSU service-learning student) and others about the impact this program is having in our communities. Remarks will begin around 5 p.m.
