Dr. Samuel Goldman will deliver a public lecture based on his new book, God's Country: Christian Zionism in America (Penn Press, 2018). 

Dr. Goldman is Assistant Professor of Political Science at George Washington University, where he leads the Politics and Values Program and is Executive Director of the Loeb Institute for Religious Freedom. Goldman received his Ph.D. from Harvard University. Prior to his appointment at George Washington, he was a Tikvah Postdoctoral Fellow in Religion, Ethics and Politics at Princeton University.

Dr. Goldman's research focuses on the theological origins of political ideas, and he has published on such figures as Leo Strauss, Spinoza and Tocqueville.

In addition to his academic work, Goldman is the literary editor for Modern Age and a contributing editor at The American Conservative. His writing has also appeared in National Review, New York Magazine, First Things, The New Criterion and other publications.
