In scientific, mobile, IoT, and communication computing, a significant number of software systems are designed and shared as Open Source Systems (OSS). This open development approach has gained widespread acceptance in the research communities from both academia and industry.  As those systems are present in most of the today’s devices, one of the critical factors for determining the quality and success of those systems is security.

Saleh M. Alnaeli is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at The University of Wisconsin-Fox Valley. His research interests focus on software evolution, source code security and vulnerabilities, source code parallelization, Internet of Things, and mining software repositories.
