In a post-apocalyptic world, the key to survival is joining a tribe. A band of roving scavengers, led by the charismatic and cunning Leading Player, has set up camp at an abandoned amusement park. On this fantastical backdrop, the troupe begins acting out the tale of Pippin, a young prince in search of adventure and purpose.  In his pursuit of “an extraordinary life,” Pippin samples the glory of war, the pleasures of the flesh, the passion of revolution and the mantle of political power. When all of these fail to satisfy, Pippin falls into despair — until he meets Catherine, a widow with a young son, who lives a simple life on her farm. Now Pippin must choose between the “thrilling finale” promised by the Leading Player or staking out his own “corner of the sky.”
