Trained by the late Dr. Nirenberg at the Courant Institute and now the head of the Math Dept, Birindelli, besides her research in PDE, has enjoyed seeing mathematics in the “real world” through her teaching and research at the architectural school. She will show how different and complex mathematical concepts seem to be completely natural to some artists.
