Fright Night: Featuring Scary Storyteller Joyce Slater

Award-winning storyteller Joyce Slater spins thrillers to make your toes curl! Joyce learned how to tell stories from her grandmother and her father.  She has been a professional storyteller for over 25 years. Telling tales to audiences of all ages.  She is the Artistic Director of the KC Storytelling Celebration and she serves as the President of Missouri Storytelling Inc, a storytelling guild in Missouri. Joyce is the recipient of the NSN Oracle Award for Service and Leadership and the Oracle Award for Distinguished National Service. 

The doors for this event will open at 6:30PM and as you enter and exit the theater for Joyce’s performance, you can take pictures of in front of our professional backdrop and brave your way through our terrifying spook alley. Audience members will receive a free goody bag after the show that you can use to collect tricks and treats from the monsters that lurk in spook alley. Campus-appropriate Halloween costumes are encouraged. Campus COVID protocols will be followed at this event.
