MSU Symphony: Repertory Ensemble

MSU Symphony: Repertory Ensemble
Date and time
7:30 PM - 8:30 PM, March 06, 2019
Description

The Repertory Ensemble is organized completely by Missouri State University conducting students. It’s open to all members of the Missouri State and greater Springfield community. Its purpose is to expand the experience of both the student conductor(s) and student instrumentalists in the symphonic literature. In addition, this ensemble gives students the opportunity to perform solo literature with a larger symphonic presence. The Missouri State Repertory Ensemble is sponsored by the University Symphony and is under the guidance of Director of Orchestral Studies Dr. Christopher Kelts. Alexandra Kovatch is a graduate assistant in the Master of Music Orchestral Conducting degree track.

Works, such as Beethoven Symphony No. 5, Vivaldi Concerto for 2 Violins and Mendelssohn's Overture "Fingal's Cave," will be performed during this concert.

*This is in partial fulfillment of a Master of Music in Orchestral Conducting.
