Description

Donations of non-perishable food items and personal hygiene items will be collected to help stock the Bear Pantry on campus.  Cash donations will also be accepted.  To ensure food safety, we cannot use:  rusty or unlabeled cans, perishables, homemade items, open or used items, expired items.

Research shows that 1 in 3 students nationwide report food insecurity.

Putting the 2018-2019 Public Affairs theme of "Unity in Community" into action, the gentlemen of Sigma Chi Fraternity are working to help all students at Missouri State who might be experiencing uncertainty about food or hygiene supplies.

The Bear Pantry is a CCE partnership with the Drew Lewis Foundation to serve members of the MSU community who face food insecurity.  It can be accessed in the Plaster Student Union 131 on Monday-Friday, from 9am- 5pm.

Campus offices and departments interested in making a group donation are welcome to collect items in your area, and members of Sigma Chi will come to you.  Contact the chapter's advisor, Darren Wienberg, at darrenwienberg@missouristate.edu to arrange a pick-up date, time, and location.
