Mr. Michael Shepard, An MSU CS graduate (B.S Comp Sci/Math 1992, M.A. Math 1994), has been employed at Jack Henry and Associates since 2000. He has performed many duties including development, dba, sysadmin, operations, and deployment automation. His specialties are automation, especially in PowerShell and SQL. Mr. Shepard is the founder of the SWMO PowerShell User Group. And he has written two books (Getting Started with PowerShell and PowerShell Troubleshooting Guide, both from Packt Publishing) and also is a contributor to the PowerShell Conference Book, vol. 1.
Abstract: Software testing is more than just writing unit tests. Mr. Shepard will talk about testing throughout the phases of the software lifecycle and introduce the concept of Test-Driven Support. He will also give an overview of the PowerShell language, emphasizing features that make it unique and pragmatic.
