Public Affairs Conference - Prison pipeline: Minorities and the law
Date and time
9:00 AM - 10:15 AM, September 26, 2018
Description

Panel Session

Although Lady Justice is said to be blind, research shows that criminal cases involving minority people are often met with a heavier hand. Minority children, especially from the African American community, have a higher chance of being introduced to the prison system. How does this “pipeline” go against our foundation of liberty and justice for all? How can America, as a nation, address the injustices against minority groups found in our judicial system to create the unity and harmony our communities need?

Public Affairs Conference held Sept. 25-27, 2018.
