Mayor Meekly is suspected of embezzling $16 million dollars from the city’s coffers. Two rookie police officers, Eric Sheridan and Billie Dwyer, stake out an economy motel where the mayor is set to meet his sexy female accountant, Karen Brown, who is also in on the sting.

Their game plan: Lure the mayor into a confession, capture it on videotape from the adjoining room, then burst in and make the arrest. But it doesn’t take long for the operation to go hilariously awry.

Officer Dwyer has worn her uniform to the undercover assignment; Officer Sheridan is having a secret affair with Ms. Brown, and the two are having a hard time focusing on their mission; the mayor’s bumbling body guard, Agent Frank, decides to interfere; the mayor’s wife, Mary Meekly, shows up at the most inopportune moment; the surveillance equipment malfunctions; and the local “Scottish Clan” crime syndicate has dispatched Todd (a.k.a. “The Highland Hitman”) to kill someone.

Pandemonium ensues as the inept cops rush to close their case before the kilt-clad assassin strikes!

Nonstop plot twists, side-splitting dialog and split-second timing add to the zany fun of this award-winning comedy.
