Media, Journalism & Film Department alumni, Byron Smith, will screen and discuss his work as a Hollywood editor.
Byron will show an episode from House of Cards, then host a talk-back session concerning the series, his work with executive producer and director, David Fincher, the business of filmmaking, and the process of editing a successful TV series.
Byron has edited a number of important series including Nip/Tuck (2003-2005), Big Love (2007-2011), and most recently, House of Cards (2013). He's also edited feature films including Running with Scissors (2006), and Five (2011). Byron was also an associate producer for 18 episodes of Big Love.
This master filmmaker series event is free and open to the public.

Byron Smith graduated from the Media, Journalism & Film Department in 1999 and has gone on to successful career as an editor on major TV series and feature films.
