The 12-week Essentials of Effective Supervision course provides a strong knowledge base for first-line supervisors, managers and team leaders. This series is designed to provide new supervisors, and those aspiring to become supervisors, with a unique blend of knowledge, skills and strategies in the areas needed to effectively and efficiently supervise others. Participants will immediately put their new skills into practice. The topics covered each week are core issues proven to be the keys for supervisory success. Supervisors at all levels need to handle these areas with confidence and authority to effectively deal with and manage the employees they supervise.
This course is offered in the fall on Tuesdays from 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM, and in the spring on Tuesdays from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM.

Sam Hinkle is an established trainer, facilitator, and consultant with over 30 years of management, supervisory, and leadership experience. He has provided customized live instruction and training development to multi levels of supervision from first-line supervisors to senior corporate executives. He is currently employed as a corporate trainer with a Fortune 500 Banking Software Corporation.
Scot Scobee is a seasoned business administration and human resource professional with over 20 years experience with a special emphasis in compensation, performance management, conflict resolution, strategic planning, workers' compensation, safety and training and development. He is currently employed at SRC Heavy Duty.
Julie Cummings has served as a Human Resources Manager for over 12 years in several industries including manufacturing, distribution and financial services. Julie currently serves as Human Resources Director for BKD, LLP.
