Anthony Pontius: Visiting Artist Lecture

Anthony Pontius will be giving a lecture of his work and process in Karls Hall room 100 on October 13, 2009 from 7:30 to 8:30 pm.

Anthony Pontius currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. Anthony Pontius received his Masters of Fine Arts from The University of Kansas in 2004.  From 2005-2007 he was the Visiting Artist at the Des Moines Art Center where he was involved with Community Outreach Instruction and was the Lead Artist for Mural Projects. His work has been exhibited in many galleries, universities and venues nationally and internationally. In the fall of 2008 Anthony Pontius was published in The Upset: Young Contemporary Art, Die Gestalten Verlang GmbH & Co. KG, Berlin. This book is a collection of young contemporary artists including Mark Ryden, Camille Rose Garcia, Fred Stonehouse and Elizabeth McGrath to just name a few.
