Event Details:

On October 11th, Ozarks Public Television will air the first segment of the Media, Journalism and Film Department’s new news magazine program, The Ozarks News Journal.  This ½ hour public affairs series will concentrate on Springfield and Greene County and include a series of live studio interviews and news packages produced by our broadcast journalism majors.  The show will air on KOZK for ten weeks at 12 noon on Sundays starting October 11th. Each show will be rebroadcast throughout the week at 11 a.m. and 11 p.m. on Telecom Channel 22.  We are very excited by this opportunity to showcase our student work and to support the public affairs mission of the University.  Professor Kevin Swift, chief engineer Paul Katona, and a group of ten broadcast journalism students are working very hard to make this series a showcase for the University and a program of real value for the greater Springfield community.
