Description

What does an aging workforce and an expanding economy mean for organizations today? A serious talent management challenge. Succession planning has been around for a number of years. The difference now is the level of urgency. The tidal wave of retiring Baby Boomer has hit the beach with 10,000 retiring each day. The available probable workers compared to the probable retirees is shrinking rapidly. Organizations are currently challenged in finding available talent and the challenges will continue to grow. Managers, Human Resources and C-suite leadership must work together to develop a comprehensive talent management strategy. Succession planning provides a key piece to the talent management puzzle.

This day-long session explores the scope and nature of the talent management problem, the six steps of succession planning and workforce planning. Come prepared to discuss your organizations talent management challenges and ideas for succession planning. Participants will walk away with plan templates and many good ideas for creating, implementing or improving existing succession plans.

Who Should Attend? Supervisors, managers, human resource professionals, recruiters, general managers or anyone interested in learning more about the topic.
