Event Examples
The following statement was approved by Administrative Council in the spring of 2002: "The University Calendar of Events is intended to provide complete information regarding University events to the campus community and the general public, and to serve as the single source for all university web calendars. Information from the Calendar of Events is used for all department, college and campus office calendars . . ."
It is important to remember that we have sought to direct the community to the Missouri State home page for information, where the Calendar of Events link is located. Hopefully, visitors will search for events there, though not necessarily on departmental sites. In November 2002 alone, there were 450,000 visits to the Missouri State Master Calendar. In addition to recurring events, any event that is appropriate for distribution via a campus flier or any other campus publication/web site also should be listed on the Calendar of Events.
