Fall Public Affairs Convocation Lecture featuring Sonia Nazario
Date and time
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM, November 01, 2016
Description

Pulitzer Prize-winning author and journalist, Sonia Nazario, is a reporter for the Los Angeles Times and author of this year's common reader, Enrique's Journey.  Nazario was raised in Kansas and  Argentina and has spent 20 years reporting and writing about large social issues in the U.S. – hunger, drug addiction and immigration – earning numerous national awards. As a speaker with a reporter’s eye to the truth, Nazario humanizes the issue of immigration, posing new perspectives that fall on both sides, while offering solutions destined to change the national dialogue.

Nazario will discuss her book — and this year’s common reader, Enrique’s Journey. Copies of the book will be on sale at the event with a book signing to follow.
